Starting Care With Us
1. Get In Touch – contact our home care Gloucester team via telephone or email so we can have an initial discussion about your or your loved ones’ care needs.
We can then arrange for one of our management team to come out to see you and your family to complete a free, no-obligation assessment.
2. Your Initial Assessment- a member of our Gloucester home care management team will meet with you to discuss your needs further- tasks, timings, existing schedules, etc.
Our managers will also provide their expertise on the matter, so you can make an informed decision on what home care you need, and how much.
3. Finalising a Care Plan– our Gloucester management team will then take what’s been discussed and use this to create your personalised care plan, which includes plenty of information about yourself and your needs, so our carers know exactly what to do every visit.
If your condition or your needs change, our home care team are always on-hand to make any amendments, and advise on what’s best to do moving forward. We also regularly review care plans, so they are always up-to-date.

How Soon Can I Start Care With Broomfield Care?
We always aim to schedule our clients to commence care as soon as possible after their initial assessment.
After your initial enquiry, we will schedule in a free no-obligation assessment with a member of our management team, to discuss your care needs going forward, typically within a week of your enquiry.
After the assessment, we aim to schedule clients to begin with us as soon as possible, usually within a week or two, depending on capacity.
Do I Have to Pay For Care From Broomfield Care?
Broomfield Care is a private company, therefore you will be paying for any care you receive, directly to us. You can see more about our fees in our latest brochure here.
However, depending on your capital, your local council may be able to contribute to help cover the cost of your care needs - this is usually through a personal budget or direct payments scheme.
Will I have the Same Carer Every Visit With Broomfield Care?
We can't guarantee that you will have the same carer for every visit. However, we do always aim to allocate carers that we think will be compatible with your interests and values, so that you can build up a good rapport with members of our team.
Is Broomfield Care a Regulated Service?
Yes, Broomfield Care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) - they are the primary independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.
We have been awarded a 'Good' rating overall, and 'Outstanding' in the 'Caring?' category.

How Do I Know Broomfield Care's Staff are Competent and Trustworthy?
All of our carers are subject to DBS checks and vetting before they begin working for Broomfield Care.
In addition, our staff are required to complete regular in-house and online training for various skills, such as moving and handling, medication management and first-aid. This is to ensure our staff are competent and kept up-to-date with any changes to these training courses.
