Happy Holidays to you all! Although, we’ve already released our last newsletter of the year, we thought it would be fun to make a Broomfield Care Year overview, showcasing all our highlights from 2024!
1. Work Events
Jamie’s Ball – February 🦋
We’ve had plenty of events both in the office and out; our very first highlight of the year was attending Jamie’s ball, in support of the 4Louis charity, which specialises in providing care and advice for families dealing with the loss of a child.
Julie’s Retirement Party – May 🌸
Our next staff event was more bittersweet as we said goodbye to one of our longest standing carers, Julie. We hosted a retirement party at the office, and instead of gifts, Julie asked us all to donate to James Hopkins Trust, which specialises in providing support for Gloucestershire’s families and their young children who are life-limited or life-threatened.
We managed to raise over £400, as well as lots of different items and essentials for the charity!
Staff Quiz Night – June 🍜
We also hosted a Chinese takeaway and quiz night for our staff, with the wonderful Charlotte as our quiz master.
Macmillan Coffee Morning – October 💚
We also hosted a bake sale, in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, where we managed to raise £225!
Christmas Party – December 🍾⭐
And, to end the year on a high, we had our annual work Christmas Party at the start of December. ⭐

Our Extra Mile Winners ⭐
Also this year, we celebrated some of our hardest working members of the team, with our brand new ‘Extra Mile Award’, such as Zane, Teresa, and Sharon pictured below!
Well done to all the other winners this year- Jess S, Dawn, Emma, Maddie, Louise, Romy, and Joy!
5 Years at Broomfield Care 💚
We also congratulated some of our longest-standing members of the team, Trish and Mandy, who both reached 5 years service in 2024.
4. Awards
As for the whole company, we won two awards this year!
In January, we received ‘Homecare Provider of the Year 2024’ in the Innovation and Excellence awards.

In addition, our Care Manager Charlotte was nominated for the ‘Leadership Award’ at the Gloucestershire Care Providers Association Awards.
But, the award we’re are most proud of winning is, of course, Business of the Year at the Believe in Gloucester Awards.
