We hope you’re all well this month- March has gone by fast hasn’t it? At least the weather has been much better these last few weeks- hopefully there’s not too many April showers to come! Anyways, read on to find out what’s been going on this March at Broomfield Care and, of course, find out our extra mile winner for the month. 😀
Off to the Races! 🏇
The main event that happened in our office this month was our curry and race night for our staff and carers, hosted by Vicky!
We were very pleased to see the event was such a success, and against all odds, there were no technical difficulties! 😀 (and you never know, we might be hosting another race night in the near future 😉)
International Women’s Day Celebrations 🦸♀️💪
Also, if you didn’t see, we celebrated all our wonderful female carers this month on International Women’s Day on 8th March.

Women are the backbone of the care sector and Broomfield Care is no different, so…Thank you to all the women that are integral to Broomfield Care’s Success!
And we couldn’t celebrate our carers, without talking about our amazing registered manager Vicky. You can read a snippet of our blog dedicated to Vicky here. ⬇️
Vicky is amazing at her job and treats everyone with kindness and respect. She’s always willing to get involved when things get tough, and is determined to continue providing an excellent service for hundreds more families across Gloucestershire. 💫
We are immensely proud of all the hard-work Vicky has put in over the last 15 years to ensure as many families as possible across Gloucestershire receive the care that they deserve. Without the graft Vicky’s put in, Broomfield Care wouldn’t be in the position it is today. 💚

The Extra Mile Award Winner 🌟
As a reminder, the winner for the February Extra Mile Award was Beckie!
But, the winner for March is…
Jess H!
We have chosen Jess as our star for this month for her caring and confident approach to her work.
Lauren, our Rota Co-Ordinator, said that, “Jess has really stood out to me this month- I recently worked with Jess and she was perfect during her visits- very caring, respectful and confident, and not afraid to take the lead!”
Jess S, our Assistant Deputy Manager, also nominated Jess H, after receiving some positive feedback from a client’s relative. Jess H was described as “absolutely fantastic and just brilliant.”
She was also complimented by another client’s family who contacted us saying, “Could I say a special thanks to Jess. She got dad ready for to go out which was super helpful for me, and her manner and kindness she showed to dad was so lovely.”
Also, we thought it was very selfless of Jess to help raise over £120 for Dementia UK outside of work, by completing their dog walking challenge last month.
Thank you Jess for going the extra mile this March!
