Hello Everyone! 👋
Another busy month over, which means another Broomfield Care Newsletter! We’ve got plenty to share with you- from awards to the extra mile award and a summary of all the information we have shared over our socials this month!
Our Nominee! 🌟
To begin with, we would like to congratulate our Care Manager Charlotte for her recent nomination!
Charlotte has been nominated for ‘The Leadership Award’ at the Gloucestershire Care Providers’ Association.
We’re so proud of you Charl and Good Luck at the award ceremony next Friday!

Macmillan Coffee Morning 💚☕
We are participating in Macmillan Coffee Morning. We have decided to host our Coffee morning on Tuesday 29th October. Although a bit far away, we wanted to make sure we gave everyone a lot of notice beforehand, so make sure you pencil it in!
We’re keeping it simple, with just a bake sale, so you better get thinking of what to make- the more cake, the better!
If you’ve got some time to spare on the 29th, pop into the office for a cake and a drink, and donate to Macmillan Cancer Support at the same time!
Our Halloween Competition! 🎃
In addition, we’ve decided to host a competition for Halloween!
All you have to do is send us a photo or video of you in your best costume, or tag us on social media, and we will share the photos on our Facebook and Instagram.
However, it is up to our audience to decide- we will post the photos over the course of the 31st October and the top 5 with the most likes will then be decided by a secret judge!
More information is to be released closer to the date! 👻👻👻
Alzheimer’s Awareness Month 🧠
In addition, September has been Alzheimer’s Awareness month and we have published a variety of information about the condition- from the symptoms of dementia, to ways to make your home dementia-friendly. To check out any of our blogs about Alzheimer’s and dementia, click on any of these images.
💻Social Media:
We also want to highlight that we are trying to be more active on social media! We are currently on Facebook, Instagram, and even TikTok!
As much engagement as possible is very beneficial to the company as it helps boost our online presence and expand our reach across Gloucestershire- our goal is to not only connect far better with those currently a part of the Broomfield Care family, but potential service users and support workers too.
So please could you do us a favour and share our posts when you see them, including this Newsletter!
💚 Staff Updates:
Unfortunately, Support worker Kim has decided to leave Broomfield Care. We wish her all the best for the future!
Our August Extra Mile Award Winner 🌟
Our Extra Mile Award winner for August is Teresa. Congratulations!
We’ve named Teresa as our winner for this month, as she recently dealt with a medical emergency in a calm and confident manner, which made us really proud.
Charlotte had this to say, “I’ve chosen Teresa as the winner this month, as she is a wonderful addition to the team. She always tries her best, no matter the situation.
Not to mention, she bakes pudding for people, both staff and service users and takes them to them. Teresa is my winner!!!
Well done Teresa!”

We need your help! We want to hear from you about who deserves to win, and who you think in particular provides excellent care.
⬇⬇To submit feedback, click on the link below, which will take you to a Microsoft Form- all you have to do is say is who you would like to nominate and why. It will only take a few minutes of your time and will be greatly appreciated. ⬇⬇

💧JELLY DROPS:
Jelly Drops are award-winning sweets designed to boost hydration. They’re 95% water, sugar free & vegan with added electrolytes & vitamins with a fantastic solid, but smooth, texture.
They are well-loved by many, but are especially beneficial to those with dementia and are struggling with their liquid intake, due to issues such as the inability to hold cups or not equating thirst with drinking.
We, at Broomfield Care, think Jelly Drops are an amazing product and can help you purchase the product at a discounted rate! Just contact the office or speak to one of our support workers, so that you can receive a special code to get your order cheaper.
🌸October Dates:
