Broomfield Care first became involved with the family in August 2013 (Mr and Mrs M lived close to the office, and required a little bit of support a few mornings a week) and this was how the care package was initiated. However sadly, in December, after a short illness Mr M passed away, but the support was maintained to help her manage at this difficult time.

Mrs M, continues to receive three visits every week. This is for assistance with personal care, and carrying out house hold chores, and as important, meaningful conversation and a good giggle. Mrs M, absolutely adores ‘her girls’, she likes to see the same people, and misses them when they are on holiday. Mrs M, is a pleasure to care for! she has a very kind nature and feels like she is part of the furniture. Mrs M, has a busy social calendar and is always out in the community attending groups and meetings,  along with another favourite past time …..  SHOPPING!

our Careworker Janet Wallace went on to explain :

“Mrs M is overwhelmed by the attention, and has said that she feels we are part of her family and that she loves us all.  She still fondly recalls the introductory meeting, and commented on how wonderful all the staff are, and how refreshing it is that Broomfield Care employed people of the same great character.   Mrs M also added the professionalism of the carers is to be admired, and sent out a special mention to Sue H, Sue P and Anne L, as they have all been supporting Mrs M for the longest time … oh and of course myself …”
