Broomfield Care’s July 2024 Newsletter 😎

✨Hi Everyone!

Another month over, which means another Broomfield Care newsletter! We hope you’re all doing well! July was a busy month for us brits with the Euros finale, the Olympics starting and, of course, the start of the school holidays (good luck to all our parents and grandparents reading this!) but here at Broomfield, it has been quite a steady month for us. Even so, we’ve still got a few things to share with you all!

CareLine Live- Contacting the Management Team

To users of the Care Circle Portal (on our new It system CareLine Live), you can now see who your allocated Broomfield Care Supervisor is; this will be the member of the management team who is responsible for overseeing your, or your relative’s, long-term care.

If you ever have any non-emergency concerns or queries, you can direct them to our Duty Manager email address- Dutymanager@broomfieldcare.com – any queries emailed across will be dealt with by the manager on shift at that time, or passed on to the relevant team member, as soon as possible.

For any daily requirements or emergency needs, you can call the office at 01452 730888 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm), to speak to any of our management team.

The Euros Final

Unfortunately, we didn’t win the euros, but we still wanted to share some photos of our clients showing their support for the country!

🎁Just Giving For James Hopkins Trust

Back in May, one of our support workers, Julie, retired, and instead of receiving gifts, she decided to use the opportunity to raise donations for James Hopkins Trust.

We can now confirm that the total money raised for James Hopkins Trust was….

🌸£480!!! 🌸

Also, Vicky finally went to the Trust with Julie to donate all the bits and bobs raised to help the charity out.

Broomfield Care 15th/16th Anniversary 🥳

We also wanted to share that this July was actually our 16th Birthday- Broomfield Care was established in July 2008- and it’s our silver anniversary of providing care around Gloucester. Broomfield Care has grown exponentially in the last 15 years, and we certainly aren’t stopping anytime soon! 💪

From starting in Vicky’s spare room to moving into a brand new office with over 30 staff members and over 50 clients, we couldn’t be more proud! We are so grateful to all our staff and clients, past and present, as it wouldn’t have all been possible without you. 💕

💻Social Media:

We also want to highlight that we are trying to be more active on social media! We are currently on Facebook, Instagram, and even TikTok!

As much engagement as possible is very beneficial to the company as it helps boost our online presence and expand our reach across Gloucestershire- our goal is to not only connect far better with those currently a part of the Broomfield Care family, but potential service users and support workers too.

So please could you do us a favour and share our posts when you see them, including this Newsletter!

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️Staff Updates:

This month, we have had two new support workers start with us -Tia and Abigail- so we hope you all give them a warm welcome to the team!

Abigail has kindly sent us a few words about herself and how she’s gotten on so far…

Hi my name is Abi, I am very excited to start a new career in support work, in the past I have worked in the optic industry, cleaner and bartending but support work has been something I’ve always been interested in.

In my spare time, I like to go to the gym and I’m on a netball team, which I’ve loved doing since I was a child.

Everyone at Broomfield care has been very welcoming and I can’t wait to see what my future holds for me here. 🙂

👩‍🎓Probation Passes:

Also, Congratulations to our Admin Assistants, Romy and Maddie, for both passing their 6 month probations! They are now official members of the Broomfield Care Team! 🥳🥳🥳

The Extra Mile Award:

Kim has been chosen as our winner for her compassion towards our clients, and helping out the team with staff shortages at the moment.

Here’s what our Care Manager, Charlotte, had to say about Kim’s performance:

“I can always trust Kim to do her utmost for our service users, she is always looking for ways to care for the people she visits in the most person-centred and selfless way and can manage to change even the most challenging scenarios into a positive outcome for all! Well deserved Kim!”

We also received a compliment from a client who said, “Kim was brilliant last week, she did everything I asked and I am looking forward to seeing her again”.

💧JELLY DROPS:

Jelly Drops are award-winning sweets designed to boost hydration. They’re 95% water, sugar free & vegan with added electrolytes & vitamins with a fantastic solid, but smooth, texture.

They are well-loved by many, but are especially beneficial to those with dementia and are struggling with their liquid intake, due to issues such as the inability to hold cups or not equating thirst with drinking.

We, at Broomfield Care, think Jelly Drops are an amazing product and can help you purchase the product at a discounted rate! Just contact the office or speak to one of our support workers, so that you can receive a special code to get your order cheaper.

🌸August Dates:

  • Olympics Closing Ceremony- 11th August
  • August Bank Holiday- 26th August

Goodbye!🙋‍♀️

That’s all for this month!

Once again, well done to Kim for being an absolute star and going the extra mile! ✨
