At Broomfield Care, we’ve unfortunately had to say farewell to one of our longest-standing clients as she moves away to be nearer to her family…
Visiting Margaret was a favourite for many of our carers for just under 4 years, and it’s such a shame we’ve had to say goodbye.
Our team began by seeing Margaret a few times a week for social calls, which slowly increased over time, as well as becoming much more care-focused. At first, Margaret was a bit apprehensive to receiving care, but quickly grew fond of the visits and our carers.
Our Care Manager, Charlotte, went to see Margaret during one of her last visits with Broomfield Care last month and had this to say: “It was so sweet to be able to go and see Margaret for a final time, before she embarks on a new chapter in her life! Both myself, and many of our carers enjoyed visiting Margaret and are sad to see her go, but we wish her all the best for the future…”
🥲 In addition, one of our carers, Romy even got Margaret to record a special goodbye for our team:

The family have also been kind enough to send us a few words about receiving support from Broomfield Care:

I would never have been able to keep mum at home as long I have without Broomfield. There have been bumps in the road, and you have had to deal with a range of perhaps unusual situations but have done so well.
The communication has always been excellent and many of the team are absolute gems.
For sure, words are inadequate to express our appreciation of the care you have delivered to mum, I will miss you all- it has been hard, but made possible by the Broomfield team.

🙂Margaret’s Next Chapter… 🙂

And, for those wondering, we have kept in contact with the family since her move, and we can report that Margaret has settled in well at her new home and is doing great!
Good Luck on Your New Chapter! 🏠
