After the Covid-19 pandemic, many day centres and NHS services reduced their transport services, and some stopped completely. As a result, we started providing this service to fill the gap, and ensure our clients could continue to maintain their regular routines, as well as access healthcare services when they need them.
If you or a loved one struggle to get from A to B, we offer social or transport visits on their own, or alongside an existing care package.
Whether that’s helping you pursue hobbies at home, taking you to a doctors’ appointment or helping you with the weekly food shop, our team of compassionate carers can help you feel more like your normal self.
Our care plans are individual to your loved one, to ensure all their needs and wishes are met so they can continue to live comfortably and with confidence. Our team of carers are excellent companions, and we always aim to match your interests with theirs. We often help with tasks such as those listed below:
Social visits can be very beneficial for an individual’s mental health, especially if they live alone or have been struggling to attend social events. Social isolation is a significant problem among the elderly and those with physical or mental health conditions- it can lead to stress, feelings of loneliness and can even develop into depression and/or anxiety.
However, through our social visits, we can help you reconnect with the wider community and help regain your confidence when going out and about.
In addition, we can help you maintain your regular routine, whether that’s going to the supermarket once a week, or to your favourite cafe for brunch. We can provide transport to and from your favourite spots, and can continue to assist you there as well.
Having a companion by your side provides reassurance if you feel nervous or overwhelmed going out in the community as well as keep you safe, and get you back to your regular routines.
