Pollard’s Promises is a charity, established in 2018, whose mission is to support both receivers and providers of care. They fully fund wishes to carers, recipients and care teams, as well as host events for carers and their families. There goal is to make sure that carers receive the recognition they deserve, as well as improving the lives of people who receive care.

Zane is a genuinely caring person and provides an outstanding service for our clients and their families; he is quick and keen to learn new skills and qualities and improve his knowledge across different settings.

Zane was slightly hesitant when he took on his Support Worker role in September 2023, as this was the first time he has taken on a paid role as a carer. Since then, he has gained such confidence and knowledge, and he has grown into one of the most amazing support workers.

Zane quickly becomes aware of the individual routines and requirements for each new Service User that he visits, demonstrates empathy, and his responsiveness and commitment to improving their well-being is evident.

Just wanted to share that SU always says how wonderful Zane is and how much of a laugh they have. Then my first visit, his son said how lovely Zane is and patient and couldn’t sing his praises enough. – AJ
