Congratulations to Zane for being listed as a Finalist at the National Care Awards!
What are the National Care Awards?
The National Care Awards are the largest awards recognising excellence in the UK care sector. The awards encompass care homes, domiciliary care, specialist care, suppliers and more.
Zane has been nominated for the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ Award, and we will find out whether he has won, on the 7th November!
If you didn’t already know, Zane has worked for Broomfield Care for around two years now, and has grown to be a firm favourite amongst both our staff and clients.
Over the last two years, we’ve received plenty of positive feedback about Zane’s work, and how he always approaches our clients with kindness, and compassion.
Zane has particularly impressed our management team, even being awarded our in-house extra mile award in 2024, and a Pollard’s Promise, just a few months ago.
His confidence has grown and his rapport with our service users is lovely to see when working alongside him. He is a pleasure to work with and I admire his commitment to his role – Jess, Training and Development Manager, extra mile 2024

Zane is a genuinely caring person and provides an outstanding service for our clients and their families; he is quick and keen to learn new skills and qualities and improve his knowledge across different settings.
Zane was slightly hesitant when he took on his Support Worker role in September 2023, as this was the first time he has taken on a paid role as a carer. Since then, he has gained such confidence and knowledge, and he has grown into one of the most amazing support workers.
Zane quickly becomes aware of the individual routines and requirements for each new Service User that he visits, demonstrates empathy, and his responsiveness and commitment to improving their well-being is evident.
And, here’s some more feedback we’ve received about Zane, from the past two years:
I had some great feedback about Zane from a client this morning. She said he’s a very nice lad and a pleasure to see. She only had good things to say. – Romy
Just wanted to share that SU always says how wonderful Zane is and how much of a laugh they have. Then my first visit, his son said how lovely Zane is and patient and couldn’t sing his praises enough. – AJ
