The Importance of Safeguarding Training

Thank you to all of our staff who attended the recent training session, all about safeguarding adults.

CQC defines Safeguarding as the process of ‘protecting a person’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect..’

All clients are potentially at risk of safeguarding issues, but some people are particularly vulnerable to harm and exploitation – for example, those with learning difficulties, dementia, or physical disabilities.

At Broomfield care, we provide support for vulnerable individuals and people with various health conditions, which makes it especially important that our staff receive excellent and up-to-date safeguarding training.

Our staff have a duty to make sure all of our clients are safe at home and are not at risk of being harmed, therefore it’s important that they’re trained to spot safeguarding issues, and how to report any problems that may arise.

Our wonderful training and development manager, Jess, led the training sessions this week, which our team found interesting and informative.

They took part in various activities, and discussions, which we received great feedback about after the sessions:

“Jess was amazing as always”

“It was a really fun training session and Jess kept it light-hearted too.”

I enjoyed the mix of group discussions, and activities, and it was useful to hear about real life cases from Broomfield

“Everyone got involved and had fun”
