🎉 Congratulations to Sue Hocking! 🎉

Sue was nominated for the Outstanding Contribution to Care and Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Award by our team, in which she was then named as a finalist in the Girl Power category. 💪👧

❤ This is what our Branch assistant, Tracey, had to say about the wonderful work Sue does for us:

Sue Hocking has worked for Broomfield Care for 10 years and she is the cement that holds everything together.  Sue is 74 years old herself (not that age should be relevant)!! Sue has a vast experience working with the elderly from palliative care to re-enablement with Gloucestershire County Council, where she worked before joining us and now uses her experience and training.

She is trustworthy, supportive, reliable and never lets us down! She is one of the hardest working people that we know- she always works 5 days per week and sometimes even 6! Not to mention, she is always willing to pick up additional shifts when we are short staffed!

She is a firm favourite with many of our Service Users and always has a smile on her face. She goes above and beyond her duty and always puts others first, whether they’re Service Users or work colleagues.  We always have great appreciative feedback and compliments from Service Users about Sue and many ask for her in particular.

Sue is a fantastic knitter and has made cardigans, jumpers, socks and even teddy bears for staff and Service users. Here is a photograph of Sue with Liz (one of our past Service Users), showing off how ‘over the moon’ she was with her new cardigan.

Sue is a mentor to new staff and she always ensures high quality of care is provided.  She is an incredibly skilled lady and is such an asset to our company.
