🦸♀️Hello everyone! We just wanted to make a quick report about the recent moving and handling training in the office- our first practical in the new training room! 🦸♂️
🌟Moving and handling effectively and safely is a significantly important part of a support worker’s role, so this training was absolutely necessary. Therefore, we are very pleased to hear the sessions were a success and especially appreciated by those involved.
Our support workers learnt the importance of using equipment correctly and having good communication skills, as well as empathy and seeing the situation from the perspective of the client involved.

Below are some highlights of the feedback we received about the practical:
🌟The most enjoyed features of the training included, “spending time with the other members of the team”, “sharing knowledge” and, getting to practice with the equipment.
🌟The session was described as, “well presented” and “very informative and interesting- nice to do in smaller groups so we could all get involved.”
🌟“I got the feeling we all love our job and want to do the best we can for our clients. Jess is an amazing trainer and nothing is too much trouble for her to answer, or to go over things we are unsure about. She has a good sense of humour, which put everyone at ease.”
🌟“I feel more confident now using the equipment and in providing safer care.”
