“After 7 years in corporate Barclays in London I moved into children’s social care for Kent County Council, where I still work full time finding homes for the most vulnerable children.”
“I originally trained as a school teacher and just preferred the social sector, I felt more at home in these kind of roles. Covid made home working the new normal so I moved from London to Ledbury in 2021.”
“This year I decided to take on some evening work, but wanted to remain in the social sector to compliment my existing knowledge. Broomfield gave me a great induction package and was very welcoming to me as a newbie, I would recommend them if you are thinking of trying this role for the first time and are nervous. In my role for Kent I liaise with dozens of care providers and you get good sense of which ones are people and user focussed and which aren’t. I immediately got the sense that Broomfield care was one of the good ones, reflected in their outstanding rating for caring by the CQC. Colleagues are friendly, professional and very hardworking. I’m really enjoying supporting our care users even more than I thought I would, and look forward to continuing to do so.”
Our New Field Care Supervisor Karleigh has been with us two months and is a marvellous addition to the team 😃
