Hello Everyone! 👋
We hope you’re all well this month- February has been and gone quite quickly, hasn’t it! Hopefully, March is a much brighter month and the weather isn’t so dull- we’ve only got one more month to go until the clocks go forward! Anyways, read on to find out what’s been going on at Broomfield Care in February, and, of course, find out our extra mile winner for the month. 🤔
A Wonderful Gift for our Carers 🦸♀️🦸♂️
One of the first things that happened this month was somewhat bittersweet. We received this amazing selection of gifts for our carers from one of our client’s family.
They said all the carers were brilliant and there is a gift for each individual support worker who went to visit, and when we found this out, we were just absolutely blown away at their generosity!
Once again, a special thanks to all our staff out in the field for their phenomenal work looking after our clients and making sure they are safe and comfortable at home.
It means the world to us to see how much of a positive impact our carers can make in such a short span of time.
The Wonderful Joyce
If you haven’t already, you can check out our latest blog about one of our longest-standing clients, Joyce, and about how much our carers enjoy going to see Joyce for her regular social visit.
Joyce has been receiving care visits at Broomfield Care for over 5 years now, and has been a favourite service user to many of our carers ever since.
Joyce always has lots of fun at these visits and says how much she appreciates her time out with us- “Everyone is absolutely fantastic- Staff are friendly and efficient…they do some excellent work- I only have to ask, and it’s done for me.” In addition, her son has commented that it gives him peace of mind and seeing other people has kept her going.
Support Jess and Frankie to Raise Money for Dementia UK!
Support Worker Jess and her golden retriever Frankie are walking 62km to raise money for Dementia UK in March.
Dementia UK is a wonderful charity that provides support for individuals with dementia and their families.

The Extra Mile Award Winner 🌟
As a reminder, the lovely Janet was our very first winner of the New Year!
But, the winner for February is…
Beckie! 💫
Beckie has worked at Broomfield Care for just over two years now, and regularly helps out doing the odd visit or two. We’ve chosen Beckie as our February winner for her kindness and compassion, and her dedication to our clients. 💚
Beckie was initially nominated by Jess Sterry, our Assistant Deputy Manager, who said, “she’s such a lovely lady! She works very hard and seems to have a very good bond with two of our clients. Even though its one or two visits, she helps out a lot!”
In addition, Lauren, our rota co-ordinator said that Beckie is “extremely hard working, always helps out without any fuss! She is a very caring person, easy to talk to and good at communicating ! I hear nothing but lovely things from the service users and staff. I know quite a few clients who are also very fond of Beckie”.
Well done Beckie!
